​This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support to help us reopen our doors and continue providing a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence and their beloved pets. Our founder and lead caretaker has recently faced significant health challenges eliminating her ability to care for animals, alone, which has temporarily paused our operations. But the need has not paused. Survivors are still reaching out constantly, desperately searching for a safe place for their pets so they can escape abuse. Hope’s 2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary exists to remove that barrier by offering free, temporary, and loving shelter for survivors’ animals while they rebuild their lives. To reopen sustainably and ensure consistent, reliable care, no matter what life throws our way, we must strengthen our operating support through staffing, fosters, and dedicated volunteers. Your Giving Tuesday contribution will help us come back stronger, expand our capacity in 2026, and ensure no survivor is forced to choose between their safety and their pet’s safety ever again.
